Before PR card and landing, you can go outside Canada and can come back without PR Card for landing purpose only (within 1 year validity of immigration visa). Once you are landed, you can not enter Canada without PR Card.

Hey friends need you advice. I have sent passports (me and my wife) on 11th Jan and received by CIC on 12th Jan. I have booked my flight on 27th Jan. Do you think I will get my passport back? Or should I cancel my flight??

Thank you for the reply. Its not yet activated. Mycic still shows "open", i think it will finalize first and then the tracker will get act activated. Am i going to get mycic email before the update on mycic or i have to keep checking it?

In the mean while i called CIC and they gave exactly the same reply. I am the PA here so i think my wife can do a separate landing while returning back to Canada as long as I do the landing before her. Thank you Asivad for the reply and it really helps.
