My mother, an Indian citizen arrived from the US to Canada in June 2022 with a multiple entry visitor visa. Her passport was not stamped at the airport. I am trying to find out how long her visa is valid. Any help would be appreciated.

IMHO: You should receive the Oath invitation earlier than people you applied in 2014 even if they took the test before you. Or at least you will have higher priority.

I think the Oath invitation is by application received date rather than test date.

I completed my landing formalities on May 26th at Port Huron. Its over 45 days and The PR card had not been received by my friend at Calgary. The SIN card came in 10 days. I am currently in the US. What are my options?

I am yet to receive the PR card. I could apply with the SIN card without the PR card but needed the landing papers. Hope that helps.

Question about AVR The visa stamped on my PP expired on 2007. I have valid I-797A. Can I use AVR? A friend told me that you can use AVR only if your visa expiry is less than a year. I did not find anything on the expiry of the visa. What do you think?

Thanks. I will wait till I get the approval. Once I get the H1 approval do I need to get the stamping done on the passport to come back to the US or I will be able to finish the landing formalities and come back without the stamping. It is very difficult to get an appointment in Toronto.

How long does it take to get the Initial Assessment after the case is transferred to NY from Buffalo?

I had also moved before my AOR arrived. This is what I did. Had a address forwarding request to the USPS. The AOR arrived to the new address. Once I got the AOR I updated my new address to the CIC from their website and sent a fax to Alberta. Hope that helps.
