I got my OWP but its LIC pending approval. Its not CIC 127, its 121 for permanent resident application. Anyway, im thankful for my OWP. It just made me think what's that message for. Maybe its a recorded response for all inquiries. :-[

Hi just to let you know that a friend of mine, received her OWP last week. She is married with dependents. Her family in the Philippines has no LC2 kit yet. Hoping for more good news. She is from Toronto, submitted her application May 05 2010.

If I have the same situation as you Ms Kishia, I will comply with what CIC is asking me to submit. I will go to the nearest Commissioners office to have my fingerprints done. The office will then ask you which country you would need a police clearance for. That is the easiest and convenient way...

If there is "We sent you a letter to this address informing you about this decision"...it could be a PR approval as well. But if it is just "Decision Made" its more likely an open permit. This is based on my friends' ecas. They are all single applicants. Congratulations!

Thanks! I actually read it before posting my reply. Thank you for the info, maybe we will wait and see if cic will continue issuing owp even for those without LC2. Looking at the trend lately, those with lc2 are the ones receiving owp as of now. Thank you again for the info, it gave high hopes...

My co worker has two employers. July 10, 2010- she is waiting for her pr landing interview. She got both owp and pr last week.

The current processing time for OWP is 18 months. Gosh, they just keep on prolonging our agony. They should have an advisory on their website regarding this longer processing time.

Hmm, processing time gets shorter ha. Maybe some can even have their papers approve in a year since they submitted their application. They are(cic) capable to expedite our papers only IF they want to. Just my two cents :-[

How about CIC Scarborough? Anybody had her/his landing interview there? Can you share how long did you have to wait for your interview. Truly appreciate your info. Thanks.

Based on my friends' cases, they will call you for your landing interview. Some are informed thru letters but the trend these days is CIC local offices call most applicants for their interview. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
