I'm wondering can someone please tell me if there is a way of finding out what decision was made on my WP by calling CIC? Processing times shows my application was looked at... I am too impatient to wait on the mail. Can I call CIC? Can someone tell me how to call the 1888 number from Ireland??

@Aman1- yes I left Canada before a decision was made on my restoration and extension of work permit. I am in Ireland waiting to get back now.

It specifically says when applying online that if amy additional documentation is required or if the documentation you submitted is unclear then u will be notified and have 2 weeks to resubmit it. Why would they say that if it's not true?! I get your point jobseeker it makes complete sense but...

Can anyone help us in regards to this matter? It seems unfair to me. If it happened to me I'd be very annoyed... Can you appeal a decision made by CIC if their rejection was unfair as such? Failing to be notified of additional documentation required seems unfair to me...

Work permit not visa, sorry :) that's harsh that they did not notify you that you needed more documentation. I read that if they needed something else that they would email and that you have 2 weeks to submit them. Can you fight the decision on the grounds that you were not notified? Yes...

In my experience apying online is exactly the same as a paper application just more convenient to submit and a quicker reply. I posed a similar question to a CIC agent and they said there is no difference. Hope that's some help. Also bare in mind that the processing times do change a little as...
