yeah he is Afghan, I am looking for swift way to sponsor him to Canada. Pakistan process will take 28 months which is very lengthy process. He may get chance to visit Canada soon so I was thinking if its best way to sponsor him right after he gets here?

I really need to know that can i file spousal sponsorship application in India instead of Pakistan as India takes 10 months to process but Pakistan takes 28 months. I am originally from Afghanistan but is currently living in Canada as a protected person.

same here, i called yesterdayand cic told me the deadline is around late 14 Oct so may be u will get ur card till 20 Oct .... I dont think so that Cic call center can access to up to date information so it depends to our luck when to get it ...

i landed on 4th Aug and still waiting for my card, cic told me u may get it in 3rd week of Oct which is 20 to 24 Oct....

cic sent me letter on 18 july and the date of interview was 4th aug ...... i was landed 4th aug and still waiting for my card :(
