Arriving in Canada with VISA passport

Thanks for the advice everyone. What you have confirmed is what we suspected; that the visa is temporary until we arrive in Canada, and there they will give him his PR card. Good luck to everyone else! Our process has come to an end, thank God, and now we look forward to our new start in Ontario!

    Encouraging News regarding PARIS office

I just wanted to say with great enthusiasm, that despite all the bad things I have heard about the Paris office, our experience has been great. My husband is Portuguese, and I am Canadian, and we are living in Portugal. I applied to be his sponsor for his PR in December of 2008, and was accepted...

Status Update - Is it normal to wait long?

Thanks for the direction. I believe that Paris does send the Confirmation letter because it is stated on their website. I hope so anyways. If not, this is extremely frustrating, because for all I know, something could have happened to the package in the mail, and then I have to wait 6 or so...

Filling in Forms - Application to Sponsor and Undertaking

Except I am not sure it is where I am signing from, only because it gives only option for city, and then PROVINCE, and considering I am doing an out of country sponsorship....it doesnt make sense to have only an option for PROVINCE as opposed to country. Any other advice, anyone?

    Where to Send my Application

Super. Thanks so much. Just one more question regarding the medical. It is my understanding that as a Spousal Sponsorship that my husband must have his Medical Exam done before we send in the application. Correct? If so, does the Designated MD have the needed forms and fills them out at the...

    More Medical Questions

I am a bit confused about who is considered "family" for the medical exam. My husband is applying for the PR, so obviously he will get the medical. I understand that I, as a Canadian, do not need one. My husband´s immediate family is his parents, and his one brother. None of them are coming...
