I went to see the MP of my area, apparently each office has a admin officer who looks after these things. So when you go there. they will ask for the base file number and date of birth of applicant. You might be required to fill in a form giving some details as to on what bases you are inquiring...

you can get the visa in three days.. just complete the online application, print it, take it to VFS, give money and they will call u when the visa is ready.
