PMM - CSIS do the army back ground check on bases of information you provide them. The regiment you had served. The commanding officer name. Place where you had served.

Did the CHC told you that your background check is completed by CSIS in Feb 2007 to feb 2208. If yes then you can show that proof to your MP. This is one of armed forces guy cases from new Delhi It took almost 3 years for my sponsorship application to be read and approved! But within 3 months...

Your background check is done. They are not going to do it again. They need current police certificate at the time of issue of visa. So u r almost done. You can email to chc and asked them why it is taking so long now. Hope fully they will speed up the process for you.

It is good not to mention that you had served in the army. Some ddidn't mentioned in the forms that they had served in the army and they get through the CSIS background check process easily. From experience if you tell the truth you are more in trouble. Why army background check take 1 year...
