Leon, I maintained my PR status but now out of Canada for about 2 years, PR card expiring in Sept. Can you please point to some links/docs on how to maintain PR status and what proofs I need to keep and any obligations? Do I need to renew my PR card? Thanks a lot for your help!

They just don;t seem to like , when you are not residing in Canada even though you may fulfill 2 out of 5 years or complete 3/5 for citizenship eligibility.

MY 6 year old US born son got Canadian citizenship as well. I was wondering if I should immediately get passports for him or it can be done at anytime. Thinking just from Maintenance point of view and what should be the primary one for travels: US or Canada? Appreciate input!

For most countries it should be stamped on your passport when you leave. If you travelled to US by land you may order from US border under FOIA.
