May 2025 - Outland Spousal Sponsorship

The PA would have to call unless the sponsor was listed as a rep (I believe). I always suggest calling over webform, as webforms do have to be manually reviewed, and therefore can delay your app possibly.

Spousal Sponsorship- Family Class- After PR EE

Mmm I see. Okay, that makes sense. Thank you!

Great! Good luck with your application. :)

    Spousal sponsorship

AOR is usually before. It says something like, "This confirms that your application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC)" and goes to the sponsor. Some people do not get it for some reason, so you might be able to use the...

    Spousal sponsorship

Oh, got it! Your original post said extended July 2025, so I was unsure. I think you may actually just need AOR...although not 100% familiar with it, as I did not apply for it. If she is wanting an OWP, I would look into that, as you may already have an AOR. :)...

    Spousal sponsorship

There were two options for those living in Canada: Family class of those living in Canada (13 month posted wait time) Spouse or Common-Law Partner in Canada (36 posted wait time) I know you've mentioned you have a son out of status, and I'm not too familiar with that, so that may have forced...

    Spousal sponsorship

Okay. If you're 100% sure you applied that and not family class in Canada, the posted timeline is 36 months. Applicants from June/July 2024 have recently been getting p1 and p2, so they were more at 12-15 month mark, but not sure how accurate that 36 month timeline will be moving forward. Were...

    Spousal sponsorship

Did you apply for family class inside Canada or Spouse/ Common Law Partner in Canada? Huge difference in processing time right now.

May 2025 - Outland Spousal Sponsorship

When was the last time you checked your VO? If you haven't called ircc or sent a webform asking since sponsorship eligibility letter, it is possible your VO is actually outside Canada. This is often when medical requests get delayed, and it can be totally normal, as not every VO runs on the same...

Spousal Sponsorship- Family Class- After PR EE

I will share if I do find any cases. But it seems if there are any out there, it'd be rare, and they are most likely applicants who did do something untruthful in the original application, and now have a sponsorship relationship story that doesn't line up.

Spousal Sponsorship- Family Class- After PR EE

I think the "before landing" could also reference reversals after something like p1/p2. But again, this would be related to EE applications it seems, not issues with spousal. I messaged the original person that had mentioned the reversals for spousal to see if they had a source, but I didn't...

Spousal Sponsorship- Family Class- After PR EE

@muslahit As in it was during the application process (receiving pfl). I went back and looked at an article someone had quoted, and it was actually referencing pfl during the app process of EE, not app process of spousal. So they had not already landed.

Spousal Sponsorship- Family Class- After PR EE

Just to clarify, they won't recalculate points then if the original applicant has already landed and they didn't issue pfl in original pr application? I saw someone in another group saying they were going to land and then apply for the pr of their spouse a couple months after (who they had...

I'll go ahead and delete my original reply, just in case it is confusing to someone else.

Spousal Sponsorship- Family Class- After PR EE

Oh, sorry. Maybe I misunderstood what someone else had wrote, and it was the scenario of it being BEFORE landing. Or maybe it is as mentioned above, as the person was trying to declare non-accompanying while the partner is in Canada.

June 2025 - Outland Spousal Sponsorship

Are you discussing how to link a spousal application that has already been submitted? Or about where to apply from?

June 2025 - Outland Spousal Sponsorship

A delayed mil can be normal depending on principal applicant's origin! Some mil seem to be delayed and are sent out after it moves to a local vo.

May 2025 - Outland Spousal Sponsorship

This is definitely a common misconception. Unfortunately trv biometrics CANNOT be used for pr application, but pr biometrics could be used for trv after. It's definitely confusing!

May 2025 - Outland Spousal Sponsorship

If you didn't pay biometrics fee at the time of application, it can cause slight delays. They'll request a biometrics fee from you, and then you'll be able to get a biometrics request. It also can depend on speed of verifying sponsorship eligibility. BIL/MIL is usually sent after confirmation of...
