Same thing happened to me. Almost a month after passport was delivered. New photos got to them last Thursday. Still waiting on update.

The process in the UK is faster. They use VFS service. They got their passport back in 1 week after submission. Ottawa office is the slowest from what I know.

My first time too. I have a friend in the UK that got their counterfoil last week. It pops up on GCkey. Document section. When the counterfoil is generated then they will ship out the passport couple of days after.

Hello! Hang in there. They'll get to you in no time. I submitted on March 12. I got an email to resubmit photos on Wednesday. I took new photos immediately and sent it to them to arrive the next day. No update yet on my GC key as well.

I used a professional photographer this time. I live in Pittsburgh PA. If you end up getting the email just look for a professional photographer in your local area that specializes on something taking canada IRCC photos or that have taken such photos in the past.

Honestly I really don't know what we did wrong the last time. We took the photos at Walgreens but for some reason it wasn't accepted. Hopefully they accept it this time. If you followed the photo submission instructions on IRCC website you might not get the email.
