each and every college has its own refund policy. if you deffer your course to the next semester and then you apply for the refund, you'll get plenty of time....in this process you can apply for refund even 2 months before commencement date....this is what i planned before applying for visa...

i sent an email to vfs and they said..... students can submit study plan with their applications i dont know why the counter guy didnt let me submit my one,, ,,,but that i got my visa now i have no complain.... :) inshallah soon you will get the medical call :)
