September 2024 - Inland Spousal Sponsorship

Forgot to mention, but the status tracker updated the Biometrics portion to "Complete" on the next business day, Monday 03/09. This was just a ghost update. Background verification is still in progress, and Medical has yet to be requested (but I don't think it's going to be required)

September 2024 - Inland Spousal Sponsorship

Hopefully! Just got her biometrics submitted this past Friday (March 7th). It was a quick in and out of 5 minutes since the office wasn't busy at all and I ended up paying for an hour of parking for no reason. Application Status Tracker still shows Biometrics as "In Progress" for now...

IIRC she did both the biometrics and medical before coming here on a Student Visa (wife still asleep and I'm at work, will confirm later lol) When I applied for her TRV "extension", they waived the biometrics and medical, stating they already have them. Guess I'll just sit and wait for the BIL.

September 2024 - Inland Spousal Sponsorship

So I've not had any updates on our case since the 2nd sponsor eligibility letter. No biometrics or medical requests. Do those get waived sometimes? or do I just need to keep waiting? Wife had biometrics and medical done for her student visa back in 2022 before coming to Canada, so it's pretty...

September 2024 - Inland Spousal Sponsorship

Yes it's 24 months now according to the website. Quite unfortunate. In my case I've gotten the sponsor approval in late December and haven't heard since. On the other hand, we applied for the TRV 'extension' from my wife's Student visa and that was approved within a month. For tracking, did...

Yes, I applied as in-land. Not sure why they sent us one. Must be automated.

September 2024 - Inland Spousal Sponsorship

Got the sponsor eligibility letter again. Not sure why, but this one says to ignore the one sent on December 5th. Says the same thing pretty much. Kind of was hoping for a good update but we're not getting that big of a new year surprise I guess. Updated timeline: Application Submitted...

September 2024 - Inland Spousal Sponsorship

It's the letter telling the sponsor that they have qualified as a sponsor of the principal applicant in terms of their application for permanent residency. Whether it is after or before AOR, I'm not sure. It seems like a lot of these letters come in whenever they feel like based on some of the...

Sponsor eligibility letter came to me, the sponsor. AIP and pre-arrival went to my wife, the principal applicant. PR tracker hasn't changed. It's all by email.

September 2024 - Inland Spousal Sponsorship

Just wanted to provide an update on getting a health card if anyone else is wondering. I brought the letter, wife's passport, PGWP and driver's license to Service Ontario and asked for a health card application. At first they were confused if she would actually be eligible for OHIP. After some...

September 2024 - Inland Spousal Sponsorship

Updates must be moving in quick now because I think I have another update. We just got an email letter that says the following: I'm guessing this is the AIP? Since we're in Ontario, we should be able to go get OHIP with this letter, correct? Letter mentions that Case Processing Centre is...

A bit of a late update since I was out of town for work. Application Submitted: September 30, 2024 PA Status: PGWP AOR: October 29, 2024 Letter says next steps is biometrics but wife hasn't received anything yet. Application history on the tracker just says "Application received", and how...
