    well it is complicated because my nationality is Palestinian but I hold a Lebanese Refugee passport when i applied i put stateless (that is what the immigration lawyer adviced me to do)

    I applied on April 2024 and have been stuck on background check since then below is a picture of my application history. Is anyone else experiencing the same thing? I have sent multiple webforms no response the application tracker says updated October 4 but nothing seems to be changed.

    He said IRCC is slow and perhaps the background checks are not happening on time. I am applying from UAE, I got acceptance at Sheridan College Bachelor in CS and yes I did address reasons for refusal they were for not returning

    I applied for the study permit (through a lawyer based in canada) on the 24th of April for the Fall Intake but had to defer to Jan Intake (for context this is my second time applying first time was in oct 2023).
