    March 2024 Inland Spousal Sponsorship

Both of your timelines fit with other people on this thread. Hopefully you hear soon! My gckey/tracker didn't have any updates between June 25 and October 25 when it changed to background check complete and final decision (applied March 8). So having no updates between that time is normal (but...

    March 2024 Inland Spousal Sponsorship

They'll create a case in the PR portal and you'll get another email (P2) telling you to log in and confirm your address / upload a photo. This can be a few days to a few weeks.

That's right! Congrats! Just copy and paste the template with the details. The email should tell you to just reply to that address too.

    March 2024 Inland Spousal Sponsorship

That's normal and in line with the timeline of other people in the thread. Upcoming should be completion of background check and 'final decision' in GC Key if it hasn't already updated. I got a P1 email a few days after my GC Key said 'Final Decision'

    March 2024 Inland Spousal Sponsorship

This is for anyone declared as a dependent needing PR. So in your case, it's just for yourself.

Nothing yet - it's been a quiet fortnight.

    March 2024 Inland Spousal Sponsorship

The link I sent show the fees went up the end of April, not March. So you pay the old fees. The only time someone in the March group would pay the new fee is if they chose to not pay the Right of Permanent Resident fee at the time of application. You're fine with what you've described...

    March 2024 Inland Spousal Sponsorship

Prior to April 30th, it was: * Sponsorship fee ($75) * Applicant fee ($490) * Right of PR fee ($515) https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/pr-fees-increase.html#list Biometrics was still $85

That's what I paid and would be the "standard price", I guess. If you added dependents then it's a bit extra per child. Don't be worried if you're looking and seeing a different price listed than what you paid. The cost went up a bit at the end of April.

    Wehey! Great to hear!

You should be good. The $1,080 you paid previously included the sponsorship fee ($75), applicant fee ($490), and right of PR fee ($515). It's possible to defer the PR fee until you're approved which is what some people will have done.

That follows on from a few of us. My final decision was on the 25th Oct and I got the P1 on the 30th (March 8th application). Hopefully you'll hear soon.

I replied within 30mins. The email I replied to had 'ClientPortalEast' so I'm guessing that's the office that's dealing with it. Hopefully you hear something soon but as far as I can tell from other threads, I was extremely lucky to hear back so quickly.

    March 2024 Inland Spousal Sponsorship

That's a shame there was confusion around that. On the upside, at least there is a clear reason why you didn't get a P1 at the same time. Hopefully it won't be too long once you have that paid up.

    March 2024 Inland Spousal Sponsorship

That's probably the case. I've just seen lots of people saying you're supposed to wait for them to create but that might be for a different stream. I first created it in 2021 so thought "oops" when I kept seeing people comment that. It is the same portal.

    March 2024 Inland Spousal Sponsorship

I've just had my P2 email come through! Have declared and submitted the photo. I had a PR Portal account already (from planning an outland application a few years back) so I don't know if that made it quicker for them to just attach a case to. Hopefully that's a good sign that it won't drag on...

    March 2024 Inland Spousal Sponsorship

My other post doesn't seem to have posted (odd, maybe too many links). The info on the P1 email says you can't confirm your PR when you are out of the country - so if you leave or have travel plans after receiving the P1 email but before you are confirmed, you need to notify IRCC (replying to...

    March 2024 Inland Spousal Sponsorship

You can't action the P2 (which is to confirm you're in the country) while out of country. So if you're still waiting for that part, then you need to inform IRCC about it by replying to the P1 and they'll pause the process until you're back. Traveling out and back in would be on your existing...

    March 2024 Inland Spousal Sponsorship

Fingers crossed you hear something very soon! I've seen some people in Jan/Feb threads get the P2 and eCOPR within 3-4 weeks of their P1. I'm hopeful for a similar timeline since it would be really nice if I didn't have to apply and pay for a SOWP just to maintain the status of my current work...
