    FYI I submitted flat files without barcodes and received no pushback, it submitted fine. Considering the underlying technology is no longer supported because of incompatibility issues mentioned above, it's probably fine. Your mileage may vary.

    You can fix this permanently by flattening the PDF file and then it will work and print as a normal, open in any PDF viewer, etc. This happens because Immigration Canada uses a deprecated Adobe product called XFA to make their forms. It's caused a lot of headaches for people who don't use...
