I have applied from Mumbai, India. My application is stuck on Background check and no I haven't applied for GCMS notes

No updates for me yet. Applied on March 28th

I had raised 5 webforms for concern and 1 was for after the defer. What do you suggest I do next?

Yeah that's the reason I mentioned the backlog theory

Also raising multiple webforms can slow down the processing which is also mentioned when you raise a webform on IRCC website.

I have also been waiting since March end and only an update on portal on 5th October stating that 'We have received your enquiry'

I have already deferred from September 2024 to January 2025 and also uploaded the new LOA on IRCC account via webform. However, the last they have updated on my application is on 5th October saying 'We have received your enquiry' which was for the previous webforms raised in the month of July...

This is just speculation since I've also been waiting since March end for a decision and there are alot more people waiting before me and after me as well.

Highly because they already have backlogs of files from January 2024 until now. So, they shall first clear out the old ones after which the new ones will be looked into

That generic response I got it long time back, I meant that they updated it on application status tracker that 'We've received your enquiry' on 5th October which was the latest update after the last update that was back on 19th April

I mean not to sound like an ass but how come someone who has applied way after me is receiving their visa and I who have applied way long back is not getting a decision? I’m just not understanding at this point like what even is going on with IRCC?

I have been waiting since March end and I already deferred once, so I believe that we will have to wait until the day they open the college refund/defer process
