July 2024 outland spousal sponsorship application

Seems weird. Well, one PM's website says "please reach out to us for immigration" so I think your lawyer was mistaken. Just reach out. If you want something done, sometimes you have to do it yourself.

July 2024 outland spousal sponsorship application

That sucks. I suggest contacting a member of parliament. Beyond the processsing time, which yours certainly is, they might be able to nudge it along.

Got letter, subject Immigration, Refugees... but no PDF

Hey guys, four weeks ago I applied to sponsor my wife (principal applicant) for PR, outland. Recently, I got an email from CIC with the subject "Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada: Information about Fxyz Correspondence Id: xyz". It's got the UCI and application number. But there's no...

Apply outland, go to Canada after

Thanks for the reply, armoured. Sorry guys, I didn't mean to omit the stuff about the TRV. It was a psychological blind spot for me because I never imagined that getting a temporary travel visa would be uncertain -- as a Canadian, it seems so easy to go anywhere in the world that I didn't...

Apply outland, go to Canada after

Thanks for the reply guys. There is one slight hitch in the inland plan however: we want to return to Canada at the same time to start settling down. But my partner needs a TRV (temporary resident visa) to do so. So we were thinking, apply for the TRV first, then wait, then go to Canada, settle...

For those who do not have photo in their marriage certificate, how did you provide this document?

That is strange. I've never heard of a marriage certificate having a photo. Mine doesn't either. Is that something with Indian marraige certificates?

Apply outland, go to Canada after

Thanks guys, this gives me some good food for thought. The inland option may be a good idea after all. I will do a bit more research but you folks gave me something to think about. To add a few more details/replies to what you folks said: There is no constraint on timeframes. My job is remote...

Apply outland, go to Canada after

Thanks, armoured. I do have a few more details: we decided on a city, I already have a job (remote -- can be done from anywhere in the world). But nothing like an apartment rented yet, although we have already started looking at apartments and even houses -- I'll write a more detailed plan then...

Apply outland, go to Canada after

Thanks, armoured. Yes, I'm a born citizen, lived in Canada for around 30 years. I did see that intent on returning. My idea is to finish the application before returning to Canada. And as for the intent, I was going to give a copy of the plane tickets and AirBNB booking as well. (I will book...

Apply outland, go to Canada after

Hey guys, I have a question. I am Canadian and sponsoring my spouse for PR to come to Canada. We are both not living in Canada at the moment and planning on applying outland (almost done application). While the application is being processed, we want to travel to Canada (spouse on visitor visa)...

    Certified Copies of Digital Documents?

I'm hoping I can learn a bit and eventually get some help. I am a Canadian living overseas with my wife and I am sponsoring her for PR. I'm new and I am having some doubt about the requires to provide a translation along with a certified copy of some documents that are not in English or French...
