I'm in process of filling out paperwork for proof of citizenship, as my father was born in Canada. I only have a photocopy of his birth certificate, would this be accepted? I can't apply for a certified copy as I live in the UK and am not the representative who dealt with my father's affairs...

I have now managed to get a photocopy of my dad's birth certificate from my sister in Canada. Will a photocopy be accepted ?

I am a Canadian citizen, as my father was born in Canada. I want to apply for a citizenship certificate as I was born in the UK and still live there, but I don't have my father's birth certificate. Is there a way round this if I can't get hold of it? (He is no longer alive) Thanks
