update: I entered through the border without any issues on 12th July. Applied for PR renewal 14th July. Received email to pick it up 1st october. Picked it up 16th october. Its a five-year card and from the expiry date it was issued on 19th september, within my processing time.

did you try calling IRCC? I submitted my renewal based on H&C (formal positive h&c decision made by minister’s delegate 4 months ago) on 14th July. I called them last week they said its still in the initial stages but apparently they’ve started processing it. I’m getting worried.

I plan on taking with me all supporting documents including the email informing me of the MD decision, proof of enrollment into university, im also completing 2 online ontario highschool courses as program requirements for my university so proof of that as well.

UofT is okay with seeing a verification of status to complete my enrolment. I was thinking once I’m back in Canada and build more ties + i would start studying, ill build a strong renewal case based on H&C from my local IRCC office which is etobicoke

Thank you for the detailed answers. I think entering through the border with all the evidences is the safest choice. The A44 report is the result of a PR card renewal without meeting RO, not examination at a PoE. Even I’m surprised at being given another chance despite being outside of Canada.

I’d also like to add that I am returning to attend UofT for my bachelors. This is also one of the basis upon which i made my argument to retain PR and the case officer even knows that i have been accepted and currently in the process of enrolment

It is the result of a long pending A44 report. There was no appeal hearing. The report was issued in 2019 when i was 15 and there had been no updates since September 2023 when we were asked for updates. Did the needful and i was told that a positive determination had been made in my case via email.
