Requested to take the oath from outside of Canada and 6 months later, still waiting to be rescheduled. What can I do to finalize the process?

Not even a few weeks. They say at least a week and that's exactly how much notice they gave me the last time. But it's enough.

Requested to take the oath from outside of Canada and 6 months later, still waiting to be rescheduled. What can I do to finalize the process?

Nope. Last thing is I told them that I'm willing and able to take the oath from Canada (since I have no faith that they will allow me to take it from outside Canada anymore, it's been 6 months since I requested it initially) but they haven't replied so far. I just regret it so much that I've...

Requested to take the oath from outside of Canada and 6 months later, still waiting to be rescheduled. What can I do to finalize the process?

Do you mean that all people who get scheduled for overseas oath ceremonies are the people who deserve them? Not sure what you meant.

Requested to take the oath from outside of Canada and 6 months later, still waiting to be rescheduled. What can I do to finalize the process?

You mean for the ceremony or to live in Canada in the future (as in, "intent to reside")? If the latter, I believe "intent to reside" is not a requirement for the citizenship but I might be mistaken.

Requested to take the oath from outside of Canada and 6 months later, still waiting to be rescheduled. What can I do to finalize the process?

I've also been waiting for almost 2 years now, so it's not like I'm one of the people that's getting special treatment.

Requested to take the oath from outside of Canada and 6 months later, still waiting to be rescheduled. What can I do to finalize the process?

On the other hand, there are people that complete their whole process in less than a year or people that get scheduled for overseas oath ceremonies. The process is awfully unfair.

Requested to take the oath from outside of Canada and 6 months later, still waiting to be rescheduled. What can I do to finalize the process?

That's right. I also spoke to an IRCC agent today and they told me that normally only a certain class of people is allowed to take the oath overseas. So, it seems like the situation is that IRCC allowed overseas oaths for everybody for only a short period over the summer but later changed their...

Requested to take the oath from outside of Canada and 6 months later, still waiting to be rescheduled. What can I do to finalize the process?

I see. Honestly, I feel scammed because the IRCC's very first reply to me explicitly stated that there was no need for special permission to take the oath from outside Canada anymore and that I was approved to take the oath from outside of Canada. That is, they explicitly told me that they...

Requested to take the oath from outside of Canada and 6 months later, still waiting to be rescheduled. What can I do to finalize the process?

The reason is that I had to come to my country of origin for a family emergency and afterwards, I lost my job in Canada. Then I found a job in my country of origin and stayed there. That is, job commitment.

Requested to take the oath from outside of Canada and 6 months later, still waiting to be rescheduled. What can I do to finalize the process?

No, I meant come to Canada, show proof to IRCC that I'm in Canada to trigger oath rescheduling, go back to my country of origin while waiting to be rescheduled and when I'm finally rescheduled, come back to Canada and take the oath. Is this an option?

Requested to take the oath from outside of Canada and 6 months later, still waiting to be rescheduled. What can I do to finalize the process?

I see. So, it is possible for me to come back, send them the boarding passes, etc., telling them that I'm in Canada and ready to be rescheduled for the oath, stay for a week and go back to my country of origin to wait for being scheduled for the oath? Or is this misrepresentation and a bad idea?

Requested to take the oath from outside of Canada and 6 months later, still waiting to be rescheduled. What can I do to finalize the process?

Yep, exactly, that's the problem. If they eventually tell me that they won't let me take it from outside of Canada, I will take it from within Canada but I need a date given before I can travel to Canada, since I'm not currently living in Canada (I don't currently have an address in Canada). I'm...

Requested to take the oath from outside of Canada and 6 months later, still waiting to be rescheduled. What can I do to finalize the process?

Hello, I created a post here but was suggested to post in the citizenship section, so I'm posting my questions based on the information that I've provided in that thread. In short, I had to move back to my country of origin shortly after applying for a citizenship. On August 2023, I received...

Requested to take the oath from outside of Canada and 6 months later, still waiting to be rescheduled. What can I do to finalize the process?

This is the citizenship section if I'm not mistaken, right? I did but didn't find any information about people whose requests to take the oath from outside Canada have been rejected. The most confusing thing is that they initially told me that I was approved to take it from outside Canada but...

Requested to take the oath from outside of Canada and 6 months later, still waiting to be rescheduled. What can I do to finalize the process?

I don't know when I will be back in Canada. I moved back to my country of origin to live with my family due to family related circumstances and I will likely continue living here unless the circumstances change. So, if it won't be possible to take the oath from outside Canada, I am willing take...

Requested to take the oath from outside of Canada and 6 months later, still waiting to be rescheduled. What can I do to finalize the process?

I was scheduled to take the oath with an in-person ceremony on 2023-08-15. I had family and job commitments which made it difficult for me to travel to Canada for the ceremony. Reading the information in this thread, I got the impression that it was possible to take the oath from outside of...
