Yes correct, option 1 in the form covers both, "Apply for a study permit for the first time or extend my study permit", so that should be chosen if @canstudies applied before the GMT expiry time.
I applied for Study Permit on 5 March 2023 and flew on 4 May 2023 for the May intake.
In the IMM5257 form, I mentioned say, XYZ as my current employer, and I mentioned the employment period of the current employer from 1 May 2022 to 31 January 2023, showing a letter from XYZ that I had...
Update:
My friend received a new PPR and the letter of introduction as well, passport stamped.
Just a heads up, my friend had already deferred to the Jan 2025 intake and raised a webform explaining the same.
Thanks
Has there been any update on this?
AFAIR, last update was if the Master's program is at least 8 months(2 semesters), the candidate is eligible for a full 3-yr PGWP.
I will be soon applying for my study permit extension application.
I am aiming to show the tuition fee paid for the full programme plus the current GIC amount per the 75% of LICO.(20k CAD).
For this, I would be needing a deposit of 6-7k from parents to reach that amount.
What could I write in...
This has been happening lately, I've seen 4-5 cases.
See this thread: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/ppr-sent-in-error.852092/
The best bet is to defer the application to the next possible intake as the application would probably go to processing again.
If a study program ends on 16th August, and the date for receiving of confirmation letter is 15 September. I have 2 questions?
- How many hours can a student work from 17th August to 2nd September if they are starting a new program on 3rd September?
- How many hours can a person work from 17th...
The webform has been replied to, it says "yes your application is processing, we know how important this process is to you"
That's all.
I feel at this point if someone is in the same boat, consider deferring if winter intake is available.
@nevermind0808 @rustam1330
I just got reply to the webform but it was a very generic one stating they want to prioritize the client processing times and that the application is still in progress.
So do you mean, applying for a 3 year PGWP now requires a TEER 0,1,2,3 job/job offer?
I believe PGWP, until this point is open and is given to anyone who's completed studying and does not take job offers into account.
Am I missing something?
