Me and my partner had our fingerprints requested the other day. None of my friends who went through citizenship recently had to, but they did give their fingerprints during PR, which we didn't. So my assumption is that it's either random, or they just need them in the system at some point.

Submitted fingerprints today (January 17th 2024) at an RCMP accredited company

Received an email. There's no update in the Tracker and I doubt there will be as it's just part of LPP which is currently 'In Progress'.

The only thing I have marked as 'Complete' is the Citizenship Test. Everything else is 'In Progress', apart from the Oath which is 'Not Started'. My gut feeling is that we'll get the Oath date at the same time as everything else is marked to 'Complete'. I can't imagine they get people to do...

Yeah you're not the only one. My test was marked as completed November 27th and everything else is still in progress.
