Hi everyone, I came to Canada on 2019 and I became PR on 2022. I did fill taxes returns on 2019, 2020, 2021. On 2022, I just worked for only 4 months due to my unemployment, but I didn’t apply for EI. Is it gonna affect my citizenship application? Thank you so much for any replies.

I didn’t know yet. I just ordered GCMS note 10 days ago sometimes I feel so hopeless tho. My friend submitted before me 2 weeks but she already got her PR card at the beginning of June 2023.

Same as me I submitted Nov 2022. I got AOR Jan 2023 and no update from that day until now.

I submitted by paper. The processing time should be 34 days but I am waiting 3 months now without any updates. I hope you can get yours soon.

I am in the same situation as you. Under LMIA, working by Closed Work Permit, I just get pay the minimum wage (the lack of benefits too). I checked the processing time everyday because I don’t want to work there anymore. It seems hopeless and stressful. Good luck, be strong and be patient.
