I'm a bit confused about this. My wife (PA) and I (sponsor) are planning a one-week vacation in September. We have already everything approved except background check. She has a valid open work permit and TRV until August 2026. Could there be a risk for our application in doing so?

No nothing. When I called IRCC, the agent told me her application hasn't been opened or reviewed by anyone yet (after ~ 20 days).

Hey Papito, Haven't received anything yet, but my case is special since I added my spouse to the application ~ 3 weeks before the portal email. So, I'm not expecting to receive any more portal emails until my wife's application is processed (I guess?!).

Apparently, this ghost update was for my background check. Today, as many others said, its status changed from "Not started" to in "In progress."

Just had a ghost update. Nothing changed on tracker and GCkey tho.

Surprisingly today my eligibility changed from "not started" to "completed" However in the IRCC portal it still says "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements."
