I would wait until I get the Police Clearance Certificate since it is required. imm5690e - Documents Checklist, section 15, mentions clearly that you MUST get the police clearance. I'm still in the process of getting my documents ready as well.

Thank you @samathwal The documents that need to be translated are the Birth Certificates and Marriage Certificate. This is for the Federal Part / PR Application (not Quebec's CSQ).
