I got an email notification from VFS that "the decision envelope had been shipped". Then I checked my application on ircc's where it showed that a final decision had been made (approved). I am yet to receive an email from ircc, but it's no longer necessary.

Mine got shipped from Dakar today. It took them a full month, from January 30th to march 1st. On to another journey now!
