    Interview with Citizenship Officer

Just got back from the citizenship interview and surprisingly had the oath ceremony right after in a special ceremony. The interview itself was easy, just questions about travel history and work. There were government officials from Ottawa visiting the office in Surrey who made it stress-free...

    Foia

I was asked for a FOIA request to CBP too by IRCC back in November. I submitted the request using securerelease.us in November and am still waiting. It's ridiculous. CBSA offers something similar through privacy act and those results came back within 15 days. I-94 travel history used to show...

    Interview with Citizenship Officer

Thank you. I suspect it's about physical presence because even though my wife and I became permanent residents in 2015, we did not relocate to Canada (from the U.S.) until mid to end of 2018 and applied for citizenship towards the end of 2021 after calculating 1095 days plus some buffer. I still...

    Interview with Citizenship Officer

Almost a year after taking the citizenship test, my wife and I got invited (separately) to an in-person interview with a citizenship officer. We're asked to bring all the supporting documents submitted with our citizenship applications. Status online shows that we've been invited to an...

Entry Exit Records from the US for Canadian Citizenship

No, not yet. I once spoke with CBO FOIA customer service rep on the phone, she said requests take an average of 90 days. My request was submitted on Nov 1st, way past the average time has passed and still no luck.

Entry Exit Records from the US for Canadian Citizenship

Here's the link they sent me https://foiarequest.dhs.gov/ Asked me to select: Submit a request to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) by creating a SecureRelease account.

Entry Exit Records from the US for Canadian Citizenship

Thanks. That's what I'm going to do this coming week and request a deadline extension. Hope CBP is able to send me the records in under 60 days.

Entry Exit Records from the US for Canadian Citizenship

Also, the FOIA request was through DHS website by selecting CBP as the agency for submission. I hope they'll return the records soon because CIC gave us a 30 day deadline which is just not reasonable given how slow every government agency is around the world post-COVID.

Entry Exit Records from the US for Canadian Citizenship

CIC sent us a link for FOIA request submission with instructions. Does the report from CBP show records for 5 years? I thought it only shows the last 100 entry exit records. I work in the U.S. but live in BC so with my almost daily commute across the border I have much more than 100 records a year.

Entry Exit Records from the US for Canadian Citizenship

Hi, I'm hoping that there's someone on this forum who's had experience obtaining entry and exit records from the U.S. to fulfill their physical presence for Canadian citizenship. My wife and I lived in the U.S. until 2018 before moving to Canada as permanent residents (permanent residency...
