i got a correspondence letter yesterday Feb 1, 2025. No approval yet.

I applied on dec 3, 2024, solo. my permit expires april 30, 2025. and i intend to travel in may 2025. haven't received any updates yet.

I don't think you should have done your medical exam after applying for visa unless an instruction from the IRCC came. You should contact IRCC and ask about the status of your application.
