(Success) Flagpole Experience PGWP: Peace Bridge (Fort Erie), Rainbow Bridge

You cannot re-enter Canada unless you have a valid visa, so you should apply for a TRV first. Once you acquire the TRV, you can flagpole. If your study permit hasn't expired by the time you get a TRV, you can use that for flagpoling. Otherwise, you'll have to use your implied status documents to...

(Success) Flagpole Experience PGWP: Peace Bridge (Fort Erie), Rainbow Bridge

Well, like I said in my opening post, unless you need the PGWP for a specific situation (such as your employer asking you for a physical work permit), there's no need to waste any time/effort with flagpoling. If you followed the study permit conditions, then there's no reason for them to reject...

(Success) Flagpole Experience PGWP: Peace Bridge (Fort Erie), Rainbow Bridge

Hmm, it seems they only have the general CBSA number posted online (1-800-461-9999). My bad, for some reason, I thought they had a phone number in the Contact Us section here but it's just the mailing address for each border crossing. I would just call the general CBSA number I mentioned earlier...

(Success) Flagpole Experience PGWP: Peace Bridge (Fort Erie), Rainbow Bridge

Hi, I went on a Thursday. I would recommend calling the border crossing you're planning to flagpole at to check what days/hours are open for flagpoling. Also, I recommend confirming with them again right before you head for the border so you don't waste time going from one border crossing to the...

(Success) Flagpole Experience PGWP: Peace Bridge (Fort Erie), Rainbow Bridge

Pretty much what Simba said. No one asked me for any proof of vaccination, but better be safe than sorry. You can definitely flagpole for a coop work permit. There's some posts about it here on the forum: Experience 1 Experience 2 McGill's website is also pretty informative.

(Success) Flagpole Experience PGWP: Peace Bridge (Fort Erie), Rainbow Bridge

It's pretty much the same checklist you get online. With me, I had: 1. Study Permit 2. Passport 3. Official Transcript 4. Letter of Degree Completion/Proof of Graduation 5. Bank Statements 6. Explanation Letter Bank statements aren't necessary afaik, but I printed them just in case they asked...

(Success) Flagpole Experience PGWP: Peace Bridge (Fort Erie), Rainbow Bridge

I did not apply online before. Thanks! My permit was still valid (till August 2022). They ask for your study permit on re-entry if you mention that you're a student so it's a good idea to have a valid one.

Post Graduate Work Permit Processing Time (PGWP)

Hey, I went to Rainbow bridge today as well. I got there around 7:30 AM and they straight up told me they just weren't processing flagpoling applications that day. I ended up going to Peace Bridge instead around 11 AM and got my PGWP. I made a post about my experience so feel free to read that...

(Success) Flagpole Experience PGWP: Peace Bridge (Fort Erie), Rainbow Bridge

Hi everyone, I just wanted to add onto the compendium of anecdotes on here for flagpoling so that it helps others looking to flagpole in the future. I left early around 5 AM to get to the Rainbow Bridge border and got there around 7:30 AM. I went inside the office and told the officer that I...

    PGWP Eligibility with delayed graduation

Hi, I completed all the courses for my degree in December 2021 (Fall 2021) and was supposed to graduate but I happened to fail one of the courses. This course was a requirement for an Honours program. Now I have the option of either retaking the course to complete the Honours program or just...
