Don't lose hope people! I just for my confirmation email today. AOR Sept 22, email came from Calgary. No updates before the email. All the other info in my signature.

It has always shown as "Processing", so apparently there have been no changes on my profile yet.

Apparently they haven't stopped since my file (AOR Sept 22nd) was assigned to an officer not long ago.

Yes, my timeline is updated. Communication with my MP has been basically me just complaining and asking them to help expedite the process but so far nothing. They say they are limited to only asking for updates (which they get pretty quick compared to me calling IRCC over the phone directly)...

Update from my MP's office: My case file has been assigned to an officer. ANY IDEAS OF WHAT THAT MEANS?

I'd try and reach the IRCC via phone and confirm with them. It takes AGES sometimes but is doable, just keep calling. Get up early in the morning and start calling as soon as the phone lines open.

Whats the deal with the background check being "in progress" vs "processing"? Mine has always been "processing" since february, but no updates yet.
