At what point did they send the request? Assessment stage? If you don’t want to get refusal then withdraw your application.

You only need TRV. If they ask you can explain you did not receive the hard copy. Print the in canada approval letter and show them. It has all the details they can use to verify your status.

It depends but I don’t think you will get hard copy by September

They will reply after several weeks and tell you to apply for replacement of permit via post. That too takes months to get processed.

If you have an active TRV (not expired) you can travel with it. It does not matter if it’s for study or visitor. Once it’s still valid or active (meaning not expired) you can use it. If all your TRVs are expired then you need to apply for a new one
