I am applying for Canadian Passport, and I stumbled upon fields Place of Birth (City) and Country. I was born in India, and my Indian passport had birth city mentioned in the format "<city>, <state>". However for Canadian passport, State field is disabled. So I can only enter City and Country...

For new Canadian Passport, the application asks for two references. Does the two references have to be Canadian Citizens, or can they be PR?

Your old application would automatically get withdrawn once you submit the new application.

Hi, sorry to jump in between. Can you share when you applied for the visa and did you apply on the old or the new portal? I applied for my parents in Oct, 2021 and haven't heard anything since. Thank you.
