Has anyone who applied at Service Canada (not Passport Canada!) this year received their passports yet? I've seen quite a few people saying they applied and got a 20-business-day delivery promise but I don't think I've seen a single resolution yet.

You can, I did it last week. The upside is they verify the forms and documentation right there with you (they made me make some corrections/additions) and they also make the copies and return your originals right there and then. That's a plus for me. I hated the idea of sending my certificates...

If they told you it will be refused, why go ahead? Wouldn't it be easier and faster for you to just ask a colleague or a friend? That said, I hope they don't refuse and it all goes well for you, though.
