    Hi, Files submitted on October has not get study permit approval yet so its difficult to get approval before January. I submitted on 2nd oct followed by biometric on 8th.

    If your SOP and file is strong, having a valid reason, then you will get approval. I am also applying after 4 year of gap in certificate course at Durham college.hope for the best.
