I have the same question. The processing times says "varied". I read somewhere it can be between 2 and 8 weeks but not on the CIC website.

They received my documents for PR card renewal August 13 through Canada Post but haven't heard anything from them on receiving it. I see some others are in the same boat? I have my sisters wedding in the uk in mid December but it doesn't look like there is much chance my card will come by then...
