Average 2 weeks some took 3 weeks. I received correspondence letter on Thursday and I checked the application status tracker and on there I see a VISA DOCUMENT NUMBER WITH AN EXPIRY DATE, but I haven't received passport request yet. Did you get an update after the correspondence letter? I received mine today!

It says on the IRCC website that they have a backlog of medical and biometrics to process. May be that’s why.

Hi! Did you receive your approval? and how long after ghost update did you get approval?

I asked this same question to IRCC last month via their Twitter account and was told that yes you can apply for the study permit but would need to withdraw your Visa application. The Study permit application will be accessed as a different application. Good luck!
