I'll give you my timeline. I sent it December 3rd, it got delivered on the 8th and stamped on the 12th. I just received my passport back today.

Mine took roughly 4 days after before it was stamped.

My canadapost link got activated last night and it says out for delivery today.

Hey, just checked now and saw that my passport has been stamped cos I can see the counterfoil information showing now so I guess I should get it back this week.

I'm honestly not sure. I was thinking of calling the call centre but on the website, it does say it can take up to 14 days to get the passport back.

No, I never got asked. The only I've ever been asked for was my US visa and permit.

Canada and US have an understanding meaning if you have a valid permit (study permit or work permit) and have a valid US visa, you don't need a visiting visa to travel in and out of Canada. I've done it myself severally with no issues.

If you currently have a US visa, you don't need a TRV to come back into Canada. You can apply for one if you want still though.

No worries. It was due to some money issues, that was why he eventually transferred to a one year college instead of staying in the university. The officer who called us seemed very nice and understanding so I guess that helped.
