Hello yes , once you are out and you get portal email you need to inform that you are outside and process will start again. In case you can come back to Canada with-in 1-2 weeks of Portal email than you can hold response to portal email , come back to CA and inform same.

No doc requested till date , background check is in progress.

They started PR processing from scratch , background check , doc validation all like new applications

if PR is approved you need to inform them that you are outside Canada and they will put PR in invalid status (This is to ensure your TRV is valid as when PR approved all other status go invalid). You can travel on TRV and once back need to inform that you are back and then you will be put in...
