When was your AOR/last update? I haven't seen this email before, but if it's a genuine, IRCC email address (ending with cic.gc.ca), I'd take it as a good indicator. At least they're letting you know, they didn't forget about you :)

For me it didn't slow down. It finally started moving forward! :) 2 days ago the Golden email. Today late afternoon, login and password to PR Portal and 5 minutes ago, photo was already uploaded Now I'm just waiting for the photo to be reviewed and PR card to arrive!

Congrats! At this stage, I think you shouldn't be sad. we're at the end of the process, just waiting to upload the photo and for it to get approved. My brother is still waiting for the portal email and he submitted his application over a month before I did.

Inland AOR July 4 Medical passed Aug 3 Bio still valid after enrollment with LMIA and verified. Today, finally an update telling me they've started the background check! So to everyone still waiting for some updates, they are moving slowly in some cases, but they are moving forward :)

Sadly, no one can give you an accurate answer. My AOR was on July 4. Medical passed Aug 3. and my background check hasn't started yet... there's completely no transparency to the process.

My AOR is July 4, biometrics still valid after previous work permit, medical passed Aug 3... still waiting for the background check to start as well. No updates since August.

Thanks for the advice about GCMS notes. Does it really take 30-40 days to receive it?

I believe I got GU1 as my background check is on "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.” But I check it almost every day and didn't notice any changes since Aug 3rd :/
