Completed the Oath on the Wednesday and had my Certificate delivered the following Monday.
I told the clerk during check in at my oath and he was great.
Did my oath only two weeks ago and this morning I picked up my passport from the Kitchener Passport Office.
Have faith - eventually you guys will get there, I applied in April 2019 so it took me a while.
I'll give props to Kitchener/ London office for getting me my Certificate pretty quick.
I did my Oath last Wednesday and asked for urgent processing and the clerk said he would personally mail it out next day, and it arrived yesterday.
I went to Kitchener this morning. Very simple process.
Definitely recommend being there early before it opens. I got there at 8:15 and was out by 9:15.
Urgent processing so will be ready next Wednesday.
Oath completed today!
Great ceremony with 46 new citizens, whole process was pretty streamlined so I felt it was as good as a Zoom ceremony could be!
Stay positive everyone who is waiting - it's worth it!
curious to know - did you ask the officer for this to be sent quickly? great to know they can send it so quick as I am taking my oath next week and need my certificate pretty quickly.
For those who have taken the oath - how long roughly has the whole ceremony been. I've watched a few people on YouTube and it seems to be a couple of hours at least - depending on how long you wait to talk to the officers?
