    Study Permit inside Canada

The number is 1-888-242-2100. You should call them between 11 am to 3 pm Montreal time. It's usually less busy.

No, I applied for an extension before the previous SP expired.

    Study Permit inside Canada

I received the SP today. Tuesday I called the ircc. I insisted and the agent finally looked at my file and told me that normally it should have been processed a long time ago. Today my file has been updated 3 times (documents sent in July added, eligibility, decision). I was unlucky for three...

    Study Permit inside Canada

Sorry. I haven't got the extension yet. A file is complete when all the elements are provided to the IRCC, such as biometrics or the CAQ for those applying for Quebec.

    Study permit extension

Same for me. I applied in may 11th, but my file is complet since the end of July. No news since then. I just don't get why they take so long for an extension. But at least, because of you, I know that I am not alone. Good luck everyone!

Study permit Extension submit before Jun 8 still hasn't been approved

I submitted my application on May 11 (and CAQ at the end of July), and still nothing. Their 36 days are not accurate, obviously. I called the idcc last week, the agent told that my application is "in progress, everything is normal".

    CAQ delayed

Yes, you absolutely need to call them. They usually respect their timeline, which is 20 working days after reception of the application.

    Study permit taking too long

    No, nothing. And you?

    CAQ lettet

I said "usually". The funding requirements for the CAQ and the SP are the identical. If the documents submitted for the CAQ are sufficient to convince Quebec immigration, this should also be the case for the federal one. As long as the documents are similar for both submissions. If in your...

    CAQ lettet

Usually, if you got your CAQ you should be fine for your PE regarding the financial part. That's it.

Study permit applicants fall 2021 intake, from europe (switzerland, etc.)???

Oh sorry I have made a mistake: 36 days is only for study permit extension (what I applied for): https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/check-processing-times.html

Study permit applicants fall 2021 intake, from europe (switzerland, etc.)???

I am almost in the boat: I applied mid-may but may file is complete since July 26 when I submitted the last document. My file is also processed in Canada. Based on the processing time mentioned on the IRCC website it takes 36 days as for now once the file is complete. We might expect to get some...

    Study permit taking too long

the eligibility review has not started for me either. I contacted the IRCC by phone (I am in Canada already). I will keep you updated Good luck!

    Study permit taking too long

I have a similar timeline, I submitted my application before May 15 and my CAQ only by July 23 (due to a technical issue from Quebec). I called the IRCC and the officer told me that there is no way of knowing when I can get a decision. It might be in August or later. If we had gotten our CAQ...

Student Visa Rejection (PhD student Application)

I think so to. I once had an intention of refusal from Quebec because my funding letter did not indicate the total amount over 4 years but just the amount per year... Once corrected I got the aprroval. Sometimes agents can miss the information.

Student Visa Rejection (PhD student Application)

I think most of people in this thread really don't understand how PhD funding works. And can be really discouraging with their comments. At the time of admission there is an offer of funding or no offer at all. Sometimes for only one year, sometimes for several years. In the case of OP...
