TFN has no indication of your application processing. But it is referencing your file is being picked by an officer. No official verification / processing started yet. It helps if you need to update information in your application, like if you moved or you have a newborn. AR: 7 Jan 2021 TFN: 27...

I think you can. But you can do nothing with the TFN. Still, you can go ahead. It is a "good to know" thing.

I got my temporary file number. My AR is 7 Jan. I asked for TFN through webform on 14 Jul. Will just need to keep waiting for AoR. SINP - Outland with 1 dependent.
