We're in the same boat. Received at IRCC Office on 24th Dec, 2021. I got an update in my IRCC Profile with "Approved" and the counterfoil details on 5th Jan, 2022. Hoping they will ship the passport and issue COPR this week or early next week.

Yep, that really is the process. I just took a picture of the Blue Dart receipt and confirmed the AWB. You should start getting the emails/ text messages tomorrow. I started receiving them the next day.
