Today lot of people got PPR for sowp in India which makes me believe they have started working on files. I myself am waiting for sowp visa for my spouse as well as a PPR for PR. Whichever comes first i dont care. Lets see how things unfold in coming weeks. Fingers crossed

yes in worst case scenario that is a possibility. From what i know, third wave has already started. We know how well indian govt and people in India can help suppress covid wave.

Atleast we have a date now finally that after september 7 there won't be any more extensions.

They should not have huge backlog. They should make decision and release them when travel ban is lifted. Keeping decision to themselves until restrictions are lifted is a reasonable step they should take.

I would suggest that you raise a webform as sometimes it can help you get credentials quickly. It happened with a friend of mine who got his credentials 5 days after he raised webform. Not sure whether it was because of web form that they acted but still give it a try. I replied to that email...

Country where you are applying from? Check processing time for it as well. I think currently they are not processing visitor visa application until travel restrictions are lifted.
