Maybe that could be the reason, though it is better to at least try calling IRCC Canada once, it could be a hit or miss, you never know. If you do call them, please let me know if they gave you any detailed information regarding your application.

Yesterday I called IRCC Canada, I asked about my application, but unfortunately they weren't authorised to release any information for applications outside of Canada, they told me to call the nearest visa office (my visa office is Abu Dhabi).

Congratulations!!! Once you receive your passport request it means your are approved. Could you kindly please share your timeline.

Have you tried raising a webform? I feel like UAE is really slow at giving decisions, I have seen other non SDS applicants for different countries who received their PPR within 35 days. This is really mentally draining:(. I hope you get your BVL and PPR soon!!!
