    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Bad news for me peeps. Ive been refused due to the fact that i work offshore and according to the immigration officer i do not cohabit with my spouse and therefore do not qualify as family class. So just as a general warning to all sailors on here, even if you lived in Canada previously...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

I'll be really honest with you, it's also a bit the fault of the forum and ourselves. We keep asking each other if we had any updates which is great and then we hope, and hope some more when someone around the same AOR date gets news. In reality we all know it depends on the officer handling our...

My sponsor called CIC today, to check up. New info we resent ( Jan 25th ) to prove our relationship was not on file yet but that this is kind of normal. He also said that sometimes it takes 3-4 months til it is updated. So his unofficial answer to our timeline for first stage approval (AIP) is...

Dont let it get to you bud. In the end there is no way to predict a timeline, every case officer is different etc. Worrying is the worst thing you could do... Im September 13... I have SA and OWP. I'm not worried. Its easy to drive yourself crazy reading all these posts... it'll be alright bud.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

So let's say I do get AIP and DM sometime this year, and I need to go to that interview. Is there a way to change the date of this interview? Just curious as to see what flexibility we have here. Also, does anyone else have 2 UCI's? Ive got 2 different numbers... kinda strange eh.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Yes I have been working, but not in Canada itself or for a Canadian company. I'm an offshore worker and get paid out of Europe. My spouse has filled in her tax-return that she is common-law. She had to pay a little bit extra, but I;m sure it wasnt for what I earned.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Does anyone know how it works from taxation point of view. Ever since I applied for Permanent Residency, which is September 2013 I haven't looked into this, would I have to pay income tax in Canada from that moment on? Obviously I dont have a SIN number yet so I wouldnt know what to fill in...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

I'm Sept 13, havent heard anything yet but thats also a little bit my own fault. They requested more information. Proof of cohabitation of a couple of months in 2011 and proof of common-law.We sent that in mid January. Oh well, we'll see.
