    Its supposed to take 3 months so I think you should get it soon. I applied August 9th and nothing yet. Can you please please please update once you get it so that I have an idea of how long it will take?

    does birth certificate equal ID for infant?

    I just did the application for my son born in Paraguay. The birth certificate doesn't count as ID, it's used to prove who the parents are. You need 2 pieces of ID apart from the birth certificate. 2 pieces of ID, one with a photo. You can submit with 1 and an explanation letter.
