I don't want to take any chance as the process of getting the Certificate and then Canadian Passport might be delayed as IRCC does not give any commitments. I have decided to postpone the ceremony. I have not yet received the email.

Got Oath ceremony invite for May 11. But I already applied for Indian Passport as I had to travel. Could anyone know how much tentative time it takes to get the certificate ?

Yes they have the same answer to anyone who calls to inform the time frame is 27 months. I asked about the information on portal that says 3-4 months from date of test to get oath ceremony, they had no answer and kept repeating the new rule of 27 months.

Why would they ask for fingerprint ? I mean I submitted application for my family of 4 and I don't think I submitted any fingerprint.

I phoned IRCC again this afternoon only to get to know that now its 27 months for processing the application, so I need to be patient. when I asked why others who applied after me and gave their citizenship test after me got their citizenship certificate - the answer was "every application is...

Any guess when it will be done? People who had given the test after me have received their citizenship last month.

I am still waiting, AOR received on October 13 2020. I phoned the CIC office and the lady told me that my citizenship is already granted on 25th January 2022 but I have to wait for OATH invitation. The file in now in Calgary office. It is such a feeling of distress as why they can't release Oath...

Test invite received Nov 30th. Status - completed Test - Dec 7.

Hello, My status online shows "You are invited" and there is date for writing citizenship test Dec 1 to Dec 22. However I have not received any email. Does anyone knows about this ?

I sent my application on October 7, 2020 for family of 4. However, only my spouse and one child received AOR via email. But myself and my older son we did not receive any email. Did anyone face similar issue.
