This makes sense. Thank you for clarifying and for the info!

Police Certificate for Citizenship Application 2024

So, I would just indicate that I have not spent more than 183 days in a row outside of Canada in the past 4 years, right? I, also, thought that the PCC is only valid for 6 months after the date it was issued?

Police Certificate for Citizenship Application 2024

Yes, I did submit a PCC as part of my PR application. If this is the case, would it be necessary to submit one or would I just need to indicate “NO” since I spent less than 183 days within the 4 year period in question in my country of origin prior to becoming PR?

Police Certificate for Citizenship Application 2024

Hi all. I'm preparing my application for citizenship but am a bit confused about the PCC. Hoping to get advice or clarification from other members and senior members on this. Background: I landed as a permanent resident in Canada in February 2021 from the US. I went on multiple short trips...

    Conjugal Partner Sponsorship

Hello All, Being in a committed, long distance relationship, my partner is planning to come to Canada and visit by applying for a TRV. It's difficult for us to have joint accounts or ventures due to the distance. What type of proof would be sufficient to prove the relationship we have?

Temporary Visitor Visa - Invite Letter

Hello Members, I've got a question about the invite letter, as I am in the position of composing one. I'm writing one for my partner to come. What additional documents would I need to attach to my letter? (copy of PR card, proof of income for support, etc.?) Thank you in advance for your...

    COPR and coronavirus

Thanks for the tip @crackMBA. I ended up exchanging currencies at the airport but the rates were not as good, which I expected. It was a last minute thing. I flew from the US.

    COPR and coronavirus

Thank you for this! I went to a currency exchange this morning and didn't expect that they have to actually order CAD that will take a week, which I don't have. The money doesn't have to be in CAD, right?

    COPR and coronavirus

Hello all. Landing in a few days at Vancouver from the US after many months of waiting for an AL. Do we need to carry a certain amount of cash on landing? Or do we just show proof of funds from a recent bank statement from our country of residence like what we did for our EE application?

    COPR and coronavirus

Thank you for your input on the ArriveCAN app. I'm not sure if I'll be exempt since I'll be working in healthcare. I guess the officer will complete his or her assessment and let me know.

    COPR and coronavirus

I didn't understand most because it wasn't in English but I could follow along. Thank you!

    COPR and coronavirus

This is helpful to know. Thank you. @crackMBA Maybe you or anyone else can give me pointers on this. For the ArriveCAN app, it asks whether my travel is exempt, which it is as I am travelling to settle and it does state that on my AL since my PR was approved before March 18, 2020 but it gives...

    COPR and coronavirus

@crackMBA Really happy for you both! Is printing the updated CoPR part of the landing formalities for expired CoPR holders? Do I ask for one to be printed or the officers know to print it out for you?

    COPR and coronavirus

I certainly hope not. If it was as soon as Monday next week, many of those who booked for next week's landing will need to make adjustments to our already booked quarantine place...if in fact, it pertains to first time settlers. At least, there should have been an official announcement of the...

    COPR and coronavirus

Congratulations on your recent landing @ssi1990 and thank your for reply. That's good to know that crew was aware of our situation. Since you flew from Chicago, I also wanted to ask where you had the PCR test done? I'm a bit nervous that the result may take more than 72 hours.

    COPR and coronavirus

I also saw this a day or two ago but still no effective date. It could possibly take a few weeks as the Ministers had stated previously.

    COPR and coronavirus

Hi @ssi1990, I'm also planned to fly from Chicago. Which airlines did you take? I was looking into Alaska Air but wasn't sure about their experience with expired CoPRs with ALs. This is a really helpful post in my case.
